Biding Time

Welcome, friends. This Friday brings us another drabble of the Friday Fictioneers variety, inspired by the following prompt from Madison Woods.

The only thing I could envision was the following conversation between these two moths.

Biding Time

“What are we doing here?”

“You already know the answer to that.”

“I don’t know how much more of this assignment I can take. Every day it’s the same. They go in and gorge themselves.”

“That’s a good thing.”

“I know, I know. They’ll get fat and lazy.”

“And what happens then?”

“We make our move to the top of the food chain.”

“Wait, doesn’t that sign say they serve healthy food now?”

“That doesn’t make it true, dimwit. Humans are easily persuaded. Soon enough, we will feast on the overweight imbeciles. Our time is very near, my friend!”

If you enjoyed that dialogue exchange, have a glimpse at two others I wrote. It was just too fun with these guys to stop at one. Click the link to proceed -> More Fun with Moths
