Thanks to Rochelle for hosting and the rest of the minions for reading. Also, if you haven’t read it yet, check out my preview of Zombie Tree.

Griff shoved his hands deep in his pockets to ward off the cold. He’d been leaning against the fence for hours.

A car pulled up and a barely visible figure emerged beyond the glare of the headlights.

“Do you have it?”

He tapped the red cooler with the toe of his dirty boot. “Price just went up. Ain’t as easy as it used to be to get a good kidney. People are more cautious these days.”

“Getting harder to find good help too.”

The following morning, a farmer found him floating face down in the murky water beyond the fence.

Have you liked my facebook page (Adam Ickes – Author) yet? Go on, be a good little minion and give it a like. Don’t worry, I won’t bite. I can’t promise the same kindness from the characters in my stories though.

While you’re at it, you should follow me on the Twitter machine as well, immediately and henceforth: @AdamIckes
