***** EDIT ****
I decided to create a linkup after all. I already added all links I’ve received so far. Here’s the linkup and the script info if you’d like to add it to your post.
***** END EDIT *****
It’s that time of the month again! No not that time!
It’s time for some six word stories! Currently there isn’t a huge following, but hopefully as time passes more and more writers around the world will be contributing to this little exercise in creativity.
This post will act as the prompt for tomorrow’s event. I say tomorrow because that’s when I’ll be posting my stories, but feel free to be flexible with the day on which you post yours.
The idea is to write anywhere from one to ten six word stories. I usually go with six of them, just to keep the six theme rolling.
This month I’d like to see you all choose one of the prompt words as a theme and write your six word story (or stories if you wish, I do six stories myself) with that theme in mind. The word itself does not need to appear in any of the stories, but the overall feel of the work should reflect your chosen theme.
This month’s theme words are:
Love
Evil
Dinner
Animals
Circus
Grunge
Choose one and run with it to your heart’s content. We’re going to go old school this week and skip the linkup.
Add your links in the comments on the stories of the other participants.
Above all, have fun!

Oh, I love the idea of this, I will try and give it a go 🙂

This is a cool idea, Adam! I think I’ll try my hand at it.

I find 6 words stories highly intimidating. But I’ll see if I can get over my personal hurdle and contribute.

I may give this a whirl. Do we link it to somewhere or just post for ourselves?
March 6th, 2014 at 7:13 AM
Just add a link here and visit the others that add links then add your link at the end of your comment to them. I had a linkup last month but mine was the only link that got added so I skipped that part this month. If more people start participating I’ll go back to the linkup method.
