Halloween is almost here…

And this year is going to be extra awesome. Do you know why? DO YOU?

If you know anything about me, you know that I’m a big fan of Evil Dead. My sixth on the sixth logo even pays homage to it for crying out loud. And if you’re a fan of Evil Dead you know that this Halloween is the launch date for a new series on the Starz channel–a little something known as Ash vs Evil Dead. And it stars Bruce Campbell and that is just groovy as hell in my book.

Have a look-see at the trailer and bask in how epic this Halloween is going to be.

If you don’t have Starz, get it. Period.

Also, let the boomstick do the talkin’.

Coming Soon: Under the Broken Moon

Hello, Minions.

You may have noticed I haven’t been around a lot on the blog or Twitter as of late. There has been a good reason for this. I’ve been hard at work on a new collection of short stories for you to devour. These aren’t the 100 word variety stories you may be used to seeing from me in 100 Tiny Tales of Terror or Wicked Little Things or even here on my blog. They’re longer than that, quite a bit longer actually. They’re more along the lines of Socks and Zombie Tree, but instead of being singles, there are four of them wrapped into one glorious package. I hope you have as much fun reading them as I had writing them. If you pick up a copy, I do hope you’ll find the time to leave a short review (or at least a star rating on Goodreads) to let other readers know what you thought. That goes for any book, not just mine.

The book:

Under the Broken Moon (The Darkest of Nights, Volume One)

The blurb:

The broken moon looks down upon us all, and judges humanity with its hateful eye. Under the cover of darkness it births the monsters that haunt our worst nightmares, and it watches, all the while laughing at those of us unfortunate enough to cross paths with its demon spawn. Some survive their encounters with the tainted world the broken moon leaves in its wake. Others are not so lucky. These are the stories of four of those unfortunate souls.

The release date:

Mark your calendars. Under the Broken Moon is set to drop on March 15th. If you’re too lazy to mark your calendar (I know I am) you can just go ahead and pre-order your copy right now so you don’t forget.

Now go forth and do my bidding by spreading the word until all mortals know of my creation, my wonderful minions.

And while you’re here why not sign up for my mailing list and get a free copy of Zombie Tree?

Warmest regards,

Adam

My Nemesis, the Rabbit

It’s finally happened. I have a nemesis, but I’m not happy about it.

I always thought having a nemesis would be great, but it’s nothing like I’d dreamed it would be.

So who is this nemesis of mine? Well, don’t laugh, it’s the rabbit that lives under a bush in front of my house.

Weird, right? Yeah, I never thought my first nemesis would be a rabbit. The universe is a cruel mistress.

So how did I get a rabbit as a nemesis? Good question, simple answer. I have a string of Christmas lights that run along the ground (as seen in the videos here). No matter how I configure them that little shithead rabbit chews through the light string and makes it nonfunctional. The little bastard has destroyed 3 sets of lights so far. I think I need to concede defeat find a new place for those particular lights.

My nemesis, the rabbit wins this round.
